Finally, I’ve got a new movie! Well, it’s been months and I’ve been busy, both professionally and personally, but I got this one together at last.

Mirror, Mirror

If you’re a Star Trek fan you might get the reference, and if not, well, I think you’ll still enjoy it. I shot this one as a live action short about 2 years ago but I never finished it to my liking. Then along came GoAnimate and I was able to re-record the audio and put it together again, this time in cartoon form. It also launches a new series, “The Adventures of Stan!” I have a few more shorts plan with this character and some new ones.

Well, I have some time amongst all the other things I’m trying to accomplish to get some captions added to “Carb Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Spud Teaser Trailer,”"Carb Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Spud Trailer ,” and “The Amazing Spider-Spud Webisode Contest Entry.”
It’s not a huge thing to do and I’ll be adding more as I can, but it feels great to have these as accessible as I can make them. Work is progressing on a few other films and I hope to have something new hitting in the not so distant future. (fingers crossed)

October 21, 2009 – Still here… no really, I am.

Ok, it’s been too long. Far too long. I probably say that a lot when I haven’t posted anything in months but it’s true. There’s been so much going on behind the scenes (non-film related) that it’s just had me tied up for months and months. Things are still crazy and will continue to be, but at least I am making progress on some new videos. I am nearly ready to start shooting my next potato parody and I’m so excited. I’m loving what I’m seeing in my storyboards as I start to bring it to life and I can’t wait to actually run some tape with the ‘tato heads on their little set. It’s going to be a blast!
In other news two of my videos are getting some good attention. My Amazing Spider-spud short just got an offer for revenue sharing on YouTube due to the number of hits it’s been getting. Today I got a second offer for revenue sharing for the Iron-man fan trailer I made forever ago. While I can’t actually accept YouTube’s offer as I don’t own all the elements outright, it’s great to know that perhaps when I do create something that I do own all the copyrights to I may just be able to capitalize on it, assuming I can build my audience. Of course, I’ll have to get my movies out there just a little quicker. Anyone got a few extra hours in the day to loan me?

April 8, 2009 – Down Time

Well, I haven’t been slacking. No, really. While there’s been a ton of things going on, movies are still on the to do list, it’s just that I’ve hit a roadblock. My most recent live action short has been shot and is waiting to be edited and my new potato parody is just about ready to go, just a few more set pieces to finish. Unfortunately the shiny new computer I ordered in January is dead. Yup, completely dead. While this wasn’t a devastating loss, all my footage is intact and my files backed up, it’s a major set-back. I’m now waiting for a replacement and all editing is on hold until that time. In the mean time I’ll keep working, if you keep waiting.

March 21, 2009 – New shorts

Good news, I have a new short shot (say that ten times fast) and I’m finalizing pre-production on my new potato parody as well. The first short, filmed on
Thursday night is a brief little live action video. Nothing spectacular, but fun to do and hopefully fun to watch. The second, my newest potato parody which has been in pre-production forever, will be ready to go in the next few weeks.
When can you see these? Well, I’ll be releasing more info about them as they progress through production and post-production, but I hope it’s not too long for either of them. I’m having issues with my new computer (bought specifically for video editing so you can understand my frustration) but as soon as it’s up and running I’ll get with editing on the live action short and barring any more distractions, I should have a weekend coming up here to shoot the potato parody as well.

November 3, 2008 – Doomed Finale

Series 1 of Doomed is now done! It’s been a long road, especially since I’ve never tried to do anything that was serialized in the past, so creating a total of 16 episodes (a teaser, an intro, and 14 standalones) has been tough, but worth it. I’m looking forward to doing a second series and expanding it a bit, but in the mean time I have another spud movie in progress. There seems to be so much to do there just aren’t enough hours in the day to write, shoot, edit, and post new stuff. I don’t know how these people do it who have hundreds of videos!

October 20, 2008 – Winding Down Doom

Well, I’ve had a good run on Doomed, but I’m winding down the first series. Episode #12 is live, #13 will go up next weekend, and I’ll follow up with a final episode the following week. It’s been fun and I hope to create a second series in the spring, but in the mean time I’ve got plenty of other things to take care of. My new spud parody is coming along nicely. The set is built, and now I’m working on getting furniture and props to fill it out. Things are moving along!

September 11, 2008 – A popular spud

I noticed today that “The Amazing Spider-Spud” has now gotten over 75,000 hits! Amazing! (to say the least).

I’m so impressed by it’s performance. I would have never thought a little video I did for a contest would have done so well, both in the contest (a top 10 finalist) and on the web so far. I have great hope for my other movies and my upcoming new spud parody.

A new episode of Doomed is also available. “Victor Von-Debt Collector” went live on Tuesday and I hope you’ll stop by and check it out.

September 4, 2008 – More Doom

Doomed “Episode #5: Got Doom?” is live. Doom is finally back with a new episode! Tune in each week for a new vlog of Doom. There will be a total of 13 episodes with the posibility of a 14th on the tail end if things go according to plan. Then Dr. Doom will be taking a long vacation as I work on other projects, but I hope to bring him back at some point. If you want more Dr. Doom, please let me know with your ratings and views!

September 2, 2008 – Laboring on Labor Day

Well, all summer I’ve been swamped, and unfortunately, fall doesn’t really change that. I hoped to have more videos up and ready to roll sooner (as my last entry in May would have suggested) but alas, life gets in the way. Good news, I do have more videos coming! “Doomed” is back with a bunch of new episodes in the coming months, all leading up to the November elections. I’ve also made some good headway on my new parody movie and the sets are taking shape. It’s going to be a busy fall and I hope to push on through winter with some more great stuff.
