Finally, I’ve got a new movie! Well, it’s been months and I’ve been busy, both professionally and personally, but I got this one together at last.

Mirror, Mirror

If you’re a Star Trek fan you might get the reference, and if not, well, I think you’ll still enjoy it. I shot this one as a live action short about 2 years ago but I never finished it to my liking. Then along came GoAnimate and I was able to re-record the audio and put it together again, this time in cartoon form. It also launches a new series, “The Adventures of Stan!” I have a few more shorts plan with this character and some new ones.

Still at it…

Well, things are busy. Yeah, you can’t tell, there hasn’t been a movie up for a while, but that doesn’t mean I haven’t been working on them. I’m doing some final pre-production on a couple things as well as thinking ahead to the next project. Unfortunately I’ve been tied up with a few other gigs, doing some event videography including a local cover band. Once I roll through some of the band’s stuff at least part of it should be available publicly so links will be available. Aside from that, life’s been busy so if you hang in there so will I, and some more films will be on the way.

Yeah, I keep working on things, even when I’m not uploading new videos. I do have some in the works, and I’m just looking for a few spare minutes to get them done. When I’m not doing those (and the 10 million other things I have to do) I’ve been working on a new shop to help support the film effort. Thanks to Zazzle I’ll be able to bring you guys MTSFilms apparel. That’s clothes and stuff. More on that to come.

Well, I have some time amongst all the other things I’m trying to accomplish to get some captions added to “Carb Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Spud Teaser Trailer,”"Carb Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Spud Trailer ,” and “The Amazing Spider-Spud Webisode Contest Entry.”
It’s not a huge thing to do and I’ll be adding more as I can, but it feels great to have these as accessible as I can make them. Work is progressing on a few other films and I hope to have something new hitting in the not so distant future. (fingers crossed)

It’s live, it’s LIVE!

Well, the new MTSFilms site is live. While I loved the old site it needed updating and fixing and frankly, I just didn’t have the time to so all that html from scratch. I think the new site is pretty slick and easy to navigate and I hope you like it as much as I do. This new format should let me keep things up to date a little easier and free me up to finish some projects in what little time I have. It’s not perfect and ideally I’d like to change a few things, but I’ll work on those as time allows.

October 25, 2009 – Relaunch or Reboot?

Ok, while things have been down lately, I’ve been working on a new site. Things are going really well and I hope to relaunch the site soon, or is that reboot? I can’t keep track of what the current “Hollywood” lingo for this would be. Anywho – the site is really ready for public consumption and I’ll be getting it online soon. Hopefully it will be sleeker and easier to navigate.

October 21, 2009 – Still here… no really, I am.

Ok, it’s been too long. Far too long. I probably say that a lot when I haven’t posted anything in months but it’s true. There’s been so much going on behind the scenes (non-film related) that it’s just had me tied up for months and months. Things are still crazy and will continue to be, but at least I am making progress on some new videos. I am nearly ready to start shooting my next potato parody and I’m so excited. I’m loving what I’m seeing in my storyboards as I start to bring it to life and I can’t wait to actually run some tape with the ‘tato heads on their little set. It’s going to be a blast!
In other news two of my videos are getting some good attention. My Amazing Spider-spud short just got an offer for revenue sharing on YouTube due to the number of hits it’s been getting. Today I got a second offer for revenue sharing for the Iron-man fan trailer I made forever ago. While I can’t actually accept YouTube’s offer as I don’t own all the elements outright, it’s great to know that perhaps when I do create something that I do own all the copyrights to I may just be able to capitalize on it, assuming I can build my audience. Of course, I’ll have to get my movies out there just a little quicker. Anyone got a few extra hours in the day to loan me?

April 8, 2009 – Down Time

Well, I haven’t been slacking. No, really. While there’s been a ton of things going on, movies are still on the to do list, it’s just that I’ve hit a roadblock. My most recent live action short has been shot and is waiting to be edited and my new potato parody is just about ready to go, just a few more set pieces to finish. Unfortunately the shiny new computer I ordered in January is dead. Yup, completely dead. While this wasn’t a devastating loss, all my footage is intact and my files backed up, it’s a major set-back. I’m now waiting for a replacement and all editing is on hold until that time. In the mean time I’ll keep working, if you keep waiting.

March 21, 2009 – New shorts

Good news, I have a new short shot (say that ten times fast) and I’m finalizing pre-production on my new potato parody as well. The first short, filmed on
Thursday night is a brief little live action video. Nothing spectacular, but fun to do and hopefully fun to watch. The second, my newest potato parody which has been in pre-production forever, will be ready to go in the next few weeks.
When can you see these? Well, I’ll be releasing more info about them as they progress through production and post-production, but I hope it’s not too long for either of them. I’m having issues with my new computer (bought specifically for video editing so you can understand my frustration) but as soon as it’s up and running I’ll get with editing on the live action short and barring any more distractions, I should have a weekend coming up here to shoot the potato parody as well.

March 13, 2009 – It’s been too long

Yeah, so I’ve neglected the blog. The whole site has been neglected actually. Rest assured I haven’t been sitting around not thinking about it. In fact, I’ve been thinking about it a lot. In the background I’ve been trying out options for a new site design, something just a little slicker, and finally got the blog migrated over from the awful mess Yahoo gave me on Y360. More changes are coming as soon as I find more time.
Speaking of time, I’ve spent mine working away on a new project. It’s coming, I promise. Pre-production is wrapping on the first in a series of short parodies that I hope to get posted in the coming months. I also just came up with a new short which should be some fun to shoot and posted probably before I get those other films done (yeah, it’s an easy one). Stay with me folks, I’ve got good stuff on the horizon!
